# XPRMNT-ZN as Public Membrane

Status: canonical doctrine for current public-front build work.
Readiness: provisional.

Note: This doctrine is accepted as a working northstar, but it may need to be rebuilt
when the difference is clearer between repo-internal rebuild rhetoric and the repo's
final collaborator-facing usefulness.

## Membrane, Not Gateway

A gateway is a passage where someone goes through and arrives on the other side.

A membrane is a boundary surface. Some things pass. Others do not. What passes is
changed by passing.

XPRMNT-ZN as public membrane means external ideas can enter, but they are filtered
through the apparatus. They are not absorbed as features, user requests, ownership
claims, or community governance. They become tests.

## What The Membrane Allows

### Reader

A reader may read XPRMNT-ZN's introduction, encounter Radio, Astrologi, and
Monsternotis, and understand something about the apparatus. The reader is not
absorbed. The reader remains witness.

### Critic

A critic may object to the method. The criticism passes through the membrane as
test, not as governance.

### Collaborator

A collaborator may send an idea. The apparatus tests it. If it fits, it may be
absorbed into the work. If not, it is rejected or left aside. The collaborator does
not own the result.

## What The Membrane Forbids

### Feature Requests

"Can you add a button for..." does not pass. XPRMNT-ZN is an apparatus, not a
service.

### Community Building

Forum, Discord, membership, or public belonging loops do not pass. The membrane
separates and filters.

### Content Extraction

Requests to extract the method into generic content may be refused or transformed.

### Ownership Claims

Ideas that pass through the membrane become tests in the apparatus. They do not
remain owned by the sender as public product claims.

## How The Membrane Works

### 1. Linguistic Filtering

XPRMNT-ZN speaks in its own terms:

- Radio, not generic signal language.
- Astrologi without zodiac, not horoscope or numerology.
- Monsternotis, not generic pattern recognition.

Something that cannot be reformulated in this language may not pass.

### 2. Operational Washing

An idea that passes must be washed into the apparatus:

- Not feature, but possibility.
- Not user, but witness.
- Not problem ticket, but test.

### 3. Absorption Or Rejection

The apparatus can say yes or no. It does not owe indefinite discussion.

## In And Out

The membrane protects both directions.

In: not every critique or idea enters.

Out: not every internal diagnosis, source anchor, or future module becomes public.

Banketter may be public. Protected sources are not. Method may be public. Internal
source material is not.

## Implementation Consequence

Older preparation files may use gateway language. For build work, this file
governs: XPRMNT-ZN is membrane, not gateway, app, product, tool, or portal.
